Michael McMullan, M.D., is a professor of surgery at the University of Washington School of Medicine and Chief of Congenital Cardiac Surgery at Seattle Children’s Hospital. He received cardiac surgery training at the University of Washington and congenital cardiac surgery training at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. His clinical interests include complex neonatal cardiac surgery, heart transplantation, and mechanical circulatory support. His laboratory develops novel, high-fidelity medical simulation systems that are used to improve patient safety and educate clinicians throughout the world.
